Fountain Solution Additive for Alcohol Reduction

BottcherFount S-3006 is a fountain solution additive for sheet-fed printing and for continuous form printing, particularly for alcohol reduction and alcohol-free printing.

Features

1. Standard dosage 3 % at water hardness 0 – 5° dH and 4 % at water hardness > 5° dH
2. pH-value 4.85 at 4 % (depending on water hardness)
3. Suitable for water hardness 0 - 15° dH (total hardness)
4. Fast restarts and stable water setting
5. Minimises build-up on the blanket and on the impression cylinder
6. Minimises ink build-up on dampening rollers
7. Reduced glazing and deposits on ink rollers
8. Quick drying of the ink, therefore improved post press operations
9. High ink density and brilliance
10. Very good scrub resistance of the ink
11. Compatible with Bottcher rubber qualities used on dampening rollers
12. Suitable for CTP plates, suitable for UV, special and metal pigment inks
13. VOC-content of 9 % , density 1.11 kg/l
14. Increased conductivity per % input: 220 μS/cm
15. Increased conductivity per % input: 350 μS/cm

Note

Before applying BottcherFount S-3006, the fountain system must be completely emptied and cleaned thoroughly, preferably with BottcherPro Hydroclean. The more the Isopropyl alcohol content is reduced, ink feedback and debris will increase and accumulate in the fount circulation system.Therefore, we recommend the fount solution to be changed regularly, e. g. every two weeks. Use BottcherPro Calcit as a re-hardener for RO and soft water.
